Hello. I’m Fat Charlie the Archangel.

While, yes, I am heavier than I’d like to be, I’m not Fat Charlie the Archangel because I’m fat, or because I’m Charlie, or because I’m an archangel. A little googling goes a long, long way. Suffice it to say that I have no opinion about this, and I have no opinion about that.

I currently abide in New River, AZ. “Abide” means “to wait”, and I wait here in New River until Ethel allows me to go back up to our second home in the Rocky Mountains, at Purgatory, between Durango and Silverton, CO.

The above was true when I wrote it, which was in September of 2012. Now it’s September of 2013, and we have moved from New River, AZ to temporary quarters in Salt Lake City, UT, while we wait to close on a townhome in Park City, and the second (and third) homes in the Rocky Mountains are now up for sale.

That’s an unhappy thing, but you don’t maintain ski homes in Colorado when you live in Park City, UT, which is a very happy thing : )

Watch this space for updates.

In July of 2015, we moved to Bozeman, MT.

In October of 2016, we moved to Whitefish, MT.

I’m actually catching up everything from the move to Park City to now (March 2019) – and to quote some hairy folk from the Bay Area, “…what a long strange trip it’s been”.

We moved into a condo here in Whitefish, where we’ve been now for 2.5 years, but we’re waiting for the snow to melt in order to start construction on a home.

We do, indeed, love Whitefish.

But I have to admit that, if’n I had my druthers, I’d still be in Purgatory, at 9000 feet in the Rocky Mountains of Southwest Colorado.

Jim, I totally don’t trust that this message will get to you, but Perry says to just follow instructions. As you know, following instructions has done a lot for me in the past. So, my e-mail is: blueskiesut@comcast.net and the home phone is 801-582-5164–in case you don’t have it.

So glad you’re back–and somehow that you’ll be living near PC seems just about right. I noticed, of course, that you were able to buy yourself a very nice toy while in Arizona (I assume), so you did get something out of that gig; in fact, I’m sure there were many high points. We are so blessed to have you back. I’ll go to work on a Big Book thing over MLK holiday.

    Love ya’, Linda
